How To Apply

On Slipform | Shotcrete | Gunite:

Improves: Workability and finishing, curing, and chemical resistance. 
Prevents: Non-structural shrinkage cracks, and white stains (efflorescence staining).


Instructions for All Slipform | Shotcrete | Gunite:


Spray Protec III: Original at 300 square feet per US gallon (7.4 square meters per liter) across the entire surface after you are done shaping or screeding.


For larger pours, apply the product after you screed each section.

Once applied, quickly work al product in with 4 passes of your concrete float or trowel.


Instead of using water, spray a bit more product if workability is needed.

After finishing, do not apply more product.


Second Coat for High-traffic Concrete: 


Note: Wait until the day after finishing before fo lowing these instructions:


Vacuum up any dust in saw cuts. 

Spray Protec III: Original at 200 square feet per US gallon (4.9 square meters per liter). 

After applying, check the surface every 10 minutes for puddles, use a microfiber mop or paint roller to spread out the puddles until they stop appearing.


Further Finishing and Painting:


Treated concrete can have adhesives, coatings, or paints applied without removing the coating.

A Hardener, Densifier, and Polish Aid for Your Concrete.

◢ Harden and Densify, Dust-proof, and Polish Concrete.

One of the surprising uses of Protec III: Original is that it's also a complete standalone densifier and hardener.

Protec III: Original works through a chemical reaction between cement and our Liquid Silica Fume to increase density, producing a harder surface that permanently polishes and dust-proofs with vehicle and foot traffic.

You can use Protec III: Original as your densifer, hardener, and then finally your polishing aid when polishing concrete, giving you everything you need to polish in one package.

◢ Prevent Efflorescence and Carbonation.

You can prevent efflorescence and carbonation by chemically neutralizing any extra calcium hydroxide in the surface of new concrete.

Neutralizing the free lime before it can become efflorescence after the concrete is exposed to moisture or carbonation after it has been exposed to carbon dioxide is the best way to prevent future surface problems.

Concrete gains the majority of its surface strength in the first days after finishing, so getting an effective cure is critical for preventing dusting and rapid surface deterioration.
